According to the Canadian CITES website:

artificially propagated cacti of the following hybrids and or cultivars are exempt from permit requirements.

Hatiora X graeseri
Schlumbergera X buckleri,
Schlum russelliana X,
Schlum truncata,
Schlum orssickiana X,
Schlum truncata,
Schlum opuntioides X,
Schlum truncata cultivars.

Now what I don't understand is Bob Smoley lists his christmas cactus as rhipsalidopsis so would these exemptions still apply to his easter cactus?
How do I know if they are Hatiora X graeseri?
Bobs plants are listed by name and color.
I don't want them to get stalled at the border because the naming of same varieties will be confusing.

All I want to do is get some interesting new plants that are NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA!

If anyone understands more of what I need to do please let me know as i am beginning to think that I should just forget about these plants.

Schlumbergera is Christmas Cactus and Rhipsalidopsis is Easter cactus. I hope those spellings are not from a Gov. website. Misnomers galore.

Yup its from a government website!
I did abreviate Schlumbergera.
Looking at the list again I see that I spelled orssichiana with a "K" so thats my fault.
But the rest is all the governments spelling!
Enough said.
